The infrastructure cannot be optimized for either resource because of these various cycles.

It is crucial to create cutting-edge technologies that can sustainably supply clean fresh water, not just for the UAE but for nations all over the Arabian Gulf and the world.

Desalination technology can potentially be developed further for increased effectiveness and less environmental impact (low carbon emission).

Policymakers must create an integrated strategy for controlling electricity and water generation and delivery in order to address these market difficulties. A selection of water treatment technologies that are more in line with anticipated production needs should be a part of this approach.

Additionally, the government can create rules that use both hard and soft strategies to handle the demand. Bruising interventions would, for instance, enhance water supply and decrease water demand. Tariffs, take into account market forces and the economic elasticity of various consumers’ water needs. Added stringent measures is to require effective techniques, like enhanced irrigation and usage of landscaping materials that optimize water reclaimed and reduce the unnecessary strain on the water infrastructure.
